Dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the human body. Dermal filler also contains lidocaine which is an anaesthetic to make the procedure comfortable.
Dermal filler (hyaluronic acid) is responsible for attracting and holding water within the skin, giving the skin a plump and fullness to it.
Over time our bodies metabolise hyaluronic acid, leading to volume loss and aged skin. Sunken and sagging skin are the key features of ageing.
Dermal filler injections (hyaluronic acid) are the most common procedure to correct volume loss within the face. Typically, there is little downtime and at a fraction of the cost of a facelift or fat transfer into the face.
Dermal fillers last approximately 1 - 2 years.

You can discuss this with the doctor; however, it is more likely to occur in older patients more then 45 years old. We believe you are more likely to require treatment when you are over 40 years of age).
