Threads are safely placed in the skin by a fine cannula, the thread material is made of the same material used by doctors in surgery to close wounds. The name of this material is Polydioxanone (PDO threads). The threads dissolve within the skin over time stimulating collagen and elastin production. The effects of antiaging including a tightening of the skin, creating a more rejuvenated and youthful appearance.

PDO threads are performed in the clinic by a doctor, the PDO threads tightens the skin, improves sagging skin and helps define facial contour. Benefits include reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, tightening of loose skin and improve skin appearance and texture. Results are seen between 6 to 12 weeks and tightening lasts up to 12 months.

PDO threads are essentially tiny needles. Application of numbing cream is
essential prior to procedure as without numbing cream it is quite painful.

Once numb, small cannulas are placed in the desired treatment area, this can
vary from as less as 10 threads and up to a hundred threads in the treatment
region. The thread is placed into the desired area and the cannula is removed.

In order:

1. Improvement in fine lines and loose skin the tear trough region and or upper cheek.
2. Tightening of crepey skin or lines on the lower cheeks, accentuated by smiling.
3. Reduction in lines above the top lip.
4. Tightening of jawline region for loose skin.
5. Tightening of the neck region.
6. Marionette lines (the sagging of the skin at the corners of the mouth)
7. Eyebrow lifting.

Skin tightening affects are seen in 8-12 weeks after treatment and last up to 12 months. As the threads dissolve over time, PDO threads stimulate collagen and elastin leading to anti-aging effects of skin tightening and rejuvenation. We recommend for best results from PDO threads, treatment is performed yearly.

We recommend after 12 months for best results. A yearly treatment will stimulate collagen and elastin creating optimal skin tightening.
