PDO Thread Lifts are a non-surgical treatment that lift sagging or aged skin in the face or body. They produce an immediate lifting effect that results in a rejuvenated, youthful look. PDO Thread Lifts are indicated for improving sagging in the lower face, areas include; Jowls, Cheeks and Nasolabial Folds.
Cosmetic clients looking for improvement in the lower face areas due to sagging skin, are good candidates for PDO lifting threads. The reason people are choosing PDO lifting threads are that they stimulate collagen that improves skin texture, fine lines, wrinkles, and elasticity for a firmer and tighter look. They also provide a longer-lasting result than treatments such as dermal filler and anti-wrinkle injections, lasting approximately 1-2years.
This cosmetic treatment is a much less invasive procedure than the traditional surgical face lift, without the need to use a scalpel or general anaesthesia. As a result, there is both little downtime and minimal side effects with this treatment..
PDO Lifting Threads can only be performed by a trained Medical Doctor.
5 PDO lifting threads on each side of face.
The Threads are made of Polydioxanone an absorbable suture material. They are inserted with a cannula which improves comfort for the client. These threads use bidirectional cones to achieve their lift. They are made of Polylactic Acid a biodegradable polymer used for many years in Orthopaedics
PDO lifting threads last for approximately 1-2 years.

The ideal thread lift candidate will generally have mild to moderate signs of skin laxities. Whereas most patients with excessive laxities will benefit more profoundly from facelift surgery, thread lifts can provide a facelift alternative for patients who do not want surgery or cannot have surgery for medical reasons.
Because you can undergo thread lifts under local anaesthesia, many people with age-related conditions that make them ineligible for surgery (like high blood pressure, type two diabetes and cardiovascular disease) can safely have this treatment.
The results of PDO Lifting Threads generally last anywhere between one to two years.
Factors that could contribute include,
Lack collagen and elastin.
Poor health choices.
The cosmetic procedure is performed in our clinic and is completed using Local anaesthetic. Anaesthetic will be injected at the entry and exit points which helps to reduce the discomfort felt by the patients.
The threads are inserted just below the dermis using a long, soft needle or cannula. The skin is gently remodelled and the threads tightened into position. The PDO threads connect with tissue and keep the skin in the new position.
A thread lifting procedure generally takes between 40-60 minutes to complete.
Some of the adverse effects that could occur with the PDO Lifting Threads could include:
Transient pain, swelling, bruising & erythema of the treated area may occur.
Asymmetry, which is usually temporary, caused by swelling and will resolve itself in 2 weeks.
Transient rippling, dimple formation and skin retraction.
Slight depression or skin irregularity.
Visible contouring of the thread.
Weakening of thread fixation.
Material sensitivity/allergic reactions.
Sensory nerve injury (very rare).
Deeper structures such as nerves, blood vessels and muscles may be injured during the procedure and may be temporary or permanent (very rare).
