The Cryolipolysis treatment reduces unwanted subcutaneous fat in specific areas of the body using chilling technology.

An adjustable vacuum applicator is used to selectively chill the fatty tissue thereby causing fat cells apoptosis (die).

The body will then absorb the fat, mainly through the lymphatic system and expel the waste product.

It can take up to 6 to 12 weeks before you can see the results, due to the body absorbing the dead fat cells.

Soft fat always gets a better result than hard fat. What this means is the applicator needs to suck the fat into the hand piece in order to freeze it. If you cannot grab the fat with your hand, then results will not be as good as if you can.

Areas we do not treat include the face and neck.

- Treatment sessions take between 40 and 60 minutes.

- You can treat 1 or 2 areas, at the same time.

- There are small and large hand pieces (applicators) that we measure so it can contour to your body to get the best result.

When the Cryolipolysis applicators are applied to skin, you will feel suction, the vacuum sucks your desired area of fat. This will begin to cool the area, then it may become uncomfortable and then it will become numb.

The first 5 - 10 minutes of the treatment, you will feel the region becoming cold, it may even be a little uncomfortable. However, the painful sensation wears off quickly as the area becomes numb.

For the following 30 - 60 minutes the treatment will be comfortable. You will be able to rest or use a device.

Once the Cryolipolysis machine has finished the fat freezing treatment, the applicators will be removed, and the technician will massage the frozen area to break up the frozen dead fat cells.

Everyone is variable when it comes to results from Cryolipolysis. Some patients see results from fat freezing after having 1 session and waiting 2 months after the fat freezing session.

The effect of the Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) procedure will continue for up to 4 to 6 months after the initial treatment.

For best results, patient have multiple treatments over a few months on a treatment plan.

Once the Cryolipolysis machine has finished the fat freezing treatment, the applicators will be removed, and the technician will massage the frozen area to break up the frozen dead fat cells.

Fat freezing (Cryolipolysis) is a non-invasive treatment. You will be able to continue with your daily routine. We do recommend not exercising or exerting yourself for 2 - 3 days. 

We also recommend that you drink lots of water to flush your kidneys as the kidneys will be processing the waste from fat freezing. 

Continuing a healthy diet and exercise program is necessary to gain optimal results. Fat freezing is not a weight loss procedure, it is to eliminate stubborn fat from difficult to remove areas.

In most cases numbness and pain associated with the procedure may occur and are self-limiting.
